100-NIGHT SLEEP TRIAL & FREE SHIPPING IN THE U.S.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I buy the Remnu Pillow at a store or on Amazon?

We are an online-only retailer and trust that our 100-Night Sleep Trial policy and the numerous positive reviews from our customers will help you make an informed decision.

Should I use an additional pillowcase over my Remnu pillowcase?

It is not necessary or recommended. The Remnu pillowcase was designed to mold to the unique shape of the Remnu pillow form. Using a pillowcase would likely degrade the benefits of the unique shape. The fabric is also a Tencel blend which is not only breathable and cooling, but also luxuriously soft for optimal comfort.

Currently we offer two colors in the pillowcase, a white and a gray, and these are available for additional purchase on our website – your initial purchase will come with the white pillowcase.

How do I adjust the loft in my Remnu Pillow?

  1. Open the zipper on the outer pillowcase
  2. Open the small zipper on the inner core liner
  3. Remove (or add) fill/foam to the desire level - we recommend putting removed fill into a zip-lock style bag for future use if needed
  4. Close zipper on core liner and close zipper on pillowcase
  5. Fluff by hand or in dryer on low heat to evenly distribute fill at new loft level

What materials are used in the Remnu pillow?

All materials are new, including our pillow filling. We believe the quality of the materials and craftsmanship of the fabrication of the Remnu pillow is exceptional and you will likely not find anything comparable on the market.

The pillowcase is a 40% Tencel and 60% polyester blend. The pillow form or liner is a 100% polyester fabric. The adjustable pillow fill is a proprietary blend of ultra-premium blend of medium density visceo-elastic (memory) foam and polyester fiber.

What is Tencel?

Tencel is a luxurious fabric produced with the use of sustainably sourced wood pulp (eucalyptus) through environmentally responsible processes. Unique properties of Tencel fibers lend to its great strength, ultra-soft feel, cooling to the touch, wrinkle-resistant, extremely breathable, and moisture wicking properties. Tencel is also known for being antibacterial, hypoallergenic, and ideal for those with sensitive skin.

How does the pillow and other products ship, how long will it take to receive and how much does the shipping cost?

Remnu products are shipped free to our customers in the U.S. lower 48 states. We can additionally ship to Hawaii and Alaska as well as Canada for an additional fee that will be applied at check-out.

It typically takes us one business day to process orders and another 5-10 days for the order to ship via ground to the end shipping destination. The pillow ships to you via a common small parcel carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.).

What can I expect when I receive my Remnu pillow?

The Remnu pillow will typically arrive to you in a white box, and the pillow is compressed into a plastic tube for shipping efficiency. When removed, the pillow will quickly begin to take its normal shape. You can fluff the pillow to encourage the fill to take its normal form - it does not take long!

How does the 100-Night Sleep Trial work?

Committing to a pillow purchase online can be intimidating. No worries though! We have taken the stress out of the process. Our Remnu pillow package comes with a 100-night sleep trial that starts from the date you receive the pillow.

If you are not left feeling renewed and revived after using your pillow during this 100-night period, simply contact us to start your return process.

*We have a minimum trial period of 30 days, we want you to try this pillow thoroughly before returning it as research has shown that several nights are often necessary to adjust to new bedding materials.

We will send you a prepaid return label for free return shipping, just make sure to return the pillow in the original box, super easy! Once we receive the returned item, and confirmed the pillow is in donatable condition, we will issue you a full refund to your original payment method within three (3) business days.

Please note: Canada, Alaska and Hawaii customers must cover return shipping costs.

Returned pillows are inspected and sorted, and it is our hope that gently used pillows will be donated to those in need (charities, long term care facilities, families experiencing hardship).

I have additional questions, is there someone I can contact at Remnu?

Yes, all questions and inquiries can easily be made via our contact us page: Contact Us.

How do I get rid of the new pillow memory foam smell?

Sometimes, not always, there is a faint smell from the shredded memory foam when the pillow is new. It will naturally dissipate within a few days.

How to care for my Remnu pillow?

  • Daily care is optimal, as are all good habits! Here are a few quick tips:
  • Daily: Fluff your pillow by hand each morning when you wake up
  • Weekly: Wash your pillowcase (follow the care instructions for washing)
  • Monthly: Tumble dry your whole pillow on a low heat cycle (15-30 minutes) to maximize and revitalize its loft (zipper secured with safety pin).
  • Annual: The complete pillow (core with memory foam) may be washed annually, but this is only as needed and not recommended (see washing instructions below).

How to wash my pillowcase (cover)?

Wash in cold water (or room temp water) on the delicate cycle. Turn pillowcase inside out before wash for best results. Wash in a separate cycle (due to the Tencel fabric only wash with other Tencel products in the same load). Do not use fabric softener or bleach.

Tumble dry low heat. Keep pillowcase inside out during dry cycle. Hang dry is the best option if time allows for longevity.

How to wash my Remnu pillow?

To Wash the Core: Secure the zipper closed with a safety pin to ensure that it does not open and spill memory foam during the wash. Wash in cold water, (low water level ideal) on a delicate/hand wash cycle. Do not use fabric softener or bleach.

To Dry the Core: Dry one pillow at a time. Secure the zipper closed with a safety pin to ensure the memory foam does not open and spill out during the dry cycle. Tumble dry low until the inner pillow is completely dry before use. This may take several cycles to completely dry. This may also differ depending on your dryer. Alternatively, simply lay the pillow flat to dry in the open air.

*Please note: in order to maintain the integrity of your pillow, we do not recommend washing your Remnu pillow more than once a year and only if absolutely needed. Failure to secure zipper closure may result in spilled memory foam core.

Why is my pillow firmer than normal or feeling flat/compact?

Memory form is a temperature sensitive material (especially with cool gel components). It is normal for the pillow to feel firmer in temperatures below 65 degrees F. The further down in the temperature, the firmer the pillow will feel. This can provide therapeutic benefits if needed, but for a fluffier pillow, we recommend throwing the pillow in the dryer (zipper secured with safety pin) on a low heat setting for 15-30 minutes to warm it if the pillow gets too cool.

What is CertiPUR-US certification?

CertiPUR-US® is a certification program administered by a not-for-profit organization.

CertiPUR-US certified foams are:

  • Made without ozone depleters
  • Made without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (”Tris”) flame retardants
  • Made without mercury, lead, and other heavy metals
  • Made without formaldehyde
  • Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
  • Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)

What is GREENGUARD Gold Certified?

GREENGUARD GOLD certified is a UL certification for household materials that have been tested and achieved low chemical emissions. The UL maintains that GREENGUARD certification standards are among the most rigorous in the world and help to ensure safe high quality indoor air environments.

What are the dimensions of the pillow?

The Remnu pillow is roughly a “standard” size pillow: 20 inches x 26 inches.

Do these pillows contain PBDEs, how do I know I am sleeping on a quality pillow (made from safe materials)?

We created these pillows using materials that we would feel safe using in our own homes, with our own family, keeping our total health in mind.

That is why our foam is CertiPUR-US® certified and made without PBDEs (polybrominated diphenyl ethers), TDCPP, or TCEP ("Tris") flame retardants.

We would never want to expose our customers to toxic chemicals, and we also manufacture our pillows in California, where PBDEs have been banned.
